Mysuru: Incompatibility with the officials has led to the Dasara Poets’Meet committee president stepping down from his post, merely two days after his appointment.
Manasa, who is the husband of former chairman of Women’s Commission Manjula Manasa was appointed as the chief of the said committee on Sunday along with the heads and members for 16 other Dasara committees.
Elated Manas wanted to organise the Poets’ Meet meet in a different way and hence directed the Committee members and officials to meet. But to his dismay, the officials, instead of obliging told that they had already finalised all the details for the Poets’ Meet and that as the President of the Committee all that he was expected to do is just attend the programme.
Close on the heels of this incident, Manasa wrote a letter to the DC and stepped down from the post.
