Mysuru: “Devaraj Urs, an inspirational person to all of us and he was a down to earth and helping the needy during his term. Many people who got help from him have reached good positions and hence these people should participate in the centenary celebrations”, said Former MP H Vishwanath.
After releasing the audio based on Devaraj Urs he said that contribution made by Urs to society will be useful to the coming generations as well.
The responsibility undertaken by Beligiri Ranganath, the songs have been composed by Manoranjan Prabhakar while the lyrics have been written by Ravi Kumaranapura on Devaraja Urs. The songs have been sung by Purvaraj Vishwanath, Former MLA R Mahendra, George Prabhakar and Kumari Rakshitha.
The Centenary Celebrations will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at the Open Air Theatre in Manasagangotri, tomorrow at 3pm
Prior to this, the CM will be laying the foundation for the newly planned D Devaraja Urs Bhavan at Kallahalli, Hunsur Taluk.
