Biker dies in road mishap, pillion injured seriously

Mysuru: A biker died while his pillion rider sustained severe injuries after their bike collided with a Tata Ace vehicle near Kartalu village of KR Nagar taluk on December 21.

Prashanth (30), resident of Sheegevalu village and son of Annegowda is the deceased. Suresh (55), son of Annegowda riding pillion was seriously injured. He was initially admitted at a local government hospital but later moved to KR hospital in Mysuru for further treatment.

Prashanth and Suresh were heading towards Harohalli village of Periyapatna taluk on their bike to attend a relative’s funeral when the accident occurred. Seriously injured biker Prashanth died on the way to the hospital.

Driver of Tata Ace vehicle KA45 9136 is absconding. KR Nagar police have registered a case and are on the look for the missing driver.
