Chamarajanagara: After Nagarahole, now the Forest Department, the officials have begun tiger census even at Biligiri Ranganatha Tiger Reserve (BRT) of Chamarajanagara District.
“The census will continue for 8 days,” informed officials. The last time census was held in 2018. At that time in all 58 tigers were found at the reserve.
According to the authorities, this census is being carried out using the M-STRIPES (Monitoring System For Tigers-Intensive Protection and Ecological Status) app.
“There are 43 beats in this tiger reserve. This census is being carried out on all these beats,” informed officials.
