Chamarajanagara: A total of 10,920 cases were disposed off in the Mega Lok Adalat held in 13 courts in the District. Of these, 2007 were in trial phase and 8,913 were pre-litigation cases.
The Mega Lok Adalat was organised in Chamarajanagara, Kollegala, Yelanduru and Gundlupete courts in the District to settle pre-litigation cases through conciliation. Of this, disputes worth Rs. 7.72 Crore have been settled.
Chamarajanagara Court disposed off 5,933 cases, Kollegal 3,038, Yelanduru 444 and Gundlupete 1,505 cases. Apart from public interest litigations, civil and marital matters, motor vehicle accidents, bank, electricity theft cases, etc., were settled.
