Chamarajanagara: Housing and Infrastructure Minister V. Somanna, who is also the District In-Charge Minister on Saturday gave a clarion call to officials to make preparations for celebrating Chamarajanagara Dasara as part of Mysuru Dasara on a grand scale.
Presiding over the preliminary meeting on Dasara celebrations at Zilla Panchayat Auditorium, Somanna said “Chamarajanagara Dasara should be celebrated in a pompous manner and the sub-committees formed for the purpose should discharge their duties effectively by completing the given tasks.”
The festival should reflect the culture and tradition and its magnificence on the lines of Mysuru Dasara. All the arrangements should be made and the required cooperation and assistance will be provided to organise the festival in a meaningful manner, added Somanna.
Apart from impressive backdrop and stage, measures should be taken to organise cultural programmes that signify the myriad culture along with art and tradition, thus encouraging the artistes.
Another round of meeting will be convened in Bengaluru for a detailed discussion. The leaders representing various organisations and prominent leaders of the District will be summoned to elicit their opinions, said Somanna.
