Chamarajanagara: B. Puttaswamy, who gained popular recognition as a Police Inspector, has resigned from his job and is preparing to contest the MLA election in Kollegala Assembly Constituency.

He is currently working in the Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement in the Office of the IGP, Mysuru and has resigned from the job through voluntary retirement on Monday January 9. It is known from the sources that he will officially enter politics after the Sankranti festival. After starting his career as a Police Constable in Mysuru City, Puttaswamy appeared for the Sub-Inspector examination and was then promoted as Sub-Inspector. He worked as PSI and Police Inspector in Ramapura, Kollegala and Chamarajanagara. He has a lot of supporters due to his people-friendly dispensing of duties.
