Chamarajanagara: Except Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, none of the party National Leaders of the party have any command over party leaders in the State. It is proved again in the inaugural event of Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra held at Male Mahadeshwara Hill in District on Wednesday March 1.

District In-Charge Minister V. Somanna and Chamarajanagara MP V. Srinivas Prasad were absent for the event. Both of them are not happy with the way in which the party leaders are functioning in the District.

According to the sources, both the leaders were asked to fall in line by the State leadership. However, they ignored the party directions.

Even though the party National President was attending the event, the attendance in the inaugural event was disappointing.

“The party has lost its mojo in the District. Congress is all set to sweep in all the four constituencies,” said a BJP leader. He pointed out internal rift as the reason for the poor organisational strength of the party in the District.
