Chamarajanagara: Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) K. M. Gayatri visited and inspected various places in Honnahalli and Arakalavadi Gram Panchayat limits in the Taluk.
She also inspected the work of planting coconut saplings under The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) at Vadgalpura Village under Honnahalli Gram Panchayat. Later, she visited Arakalavadi Gram Panchayat in the Taluk, which has been selected under Phase-II of Amrutha Gram Panchayat Scheme, and discussed with Gram Panchayat Presidents, Members and Project Development Officers about the progress made under Jal Jeevan mission, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and Swachh Bharat Mission (GR) schemes and basic amenities within the Gram Panchayat limits.
She visited the Primary Health Centre in Arakalavadi Village, the out-patient department, labour room and men’s wards. She directed the medical officers of the Primary Health Centre to visit the medicine storage room and dispose of the expired medicines within the stipulated time. She instructed the Project Development Officer to develop a park at the place in front of the Primary Health Centre.
She also directed the Project Development Officer to visit the Gram Panchayat Library and insisted to install computers in the library, put vetrified tiles on the floor of the room and install tube lights for high-lighting system and purchase books that would be useful for competitive examinations.
