Chamarajanagar: A Man who was delivering fake Covid negative reports to those traveling to Tamil Nadu from Chamarajanagar district was arrested by Gundlupete police.

Anil Kumar, 35, a resident of Hangala village was the accused who was arrested. Sitting at Shri Veerabhadreshwara Mobile Service centre, he used to prepare fake report using forged doctor’s signature, and State Government seal. He was preparing the fake negative RT – PCR report for people who were travelling from Tamil Nadu.

Many of them, including lorry drivers, received certificates from him for money. In the meanwhile, when it was inspected at the Tamil Nadu border, it came to light that the certificates were fake. As Gundlupet Police Station received an information from Tamil Nadu Police, the Gundlupet police raided Shri Veerabhadreshwara Mobile Service and found that they were providing fake negative Covid report. In this connection, one person was taken into custody too.
