Chamarajanagara: The team of officials Headed by Deputy Commissioner Charulatha Somal on Sunday March 6 inspected various stone quarries.
During the inspection, the team took details of the number of years the mining is conducted, depth of quarry, and ownership among others. The team was formed following the instructions of District In-Charge Minister V. Somanna.
The NDRF and SDRF officials have been striving hard to retrieve the two bodies amid stone debris at Madahalli quarry. It is said that the recovery work has been delayed since the rock deposits again may collapse if it is hurried as the soil is loose.
