Tourists Booked For Taking Bath In Brt Tiger Reserve

Chamarajanagara: A video clip of tourists taking bath in a small stream in the middle of the Yelundur, Biligirirangana Betta  passage through the  Biligiriranganatha Swamy Temple (BRT) Tiger Reserve, went viral in social media since two days.

The incident took place on Monday November 29. It was captured on mobile by people travelling on the same road.

When the issue came to the notice of BRT Tiger Reserve Forest officers traced the tourists and imposed fine. Range Forest Officer Lokesh Murthy told that they received complaint from passersby. He immediately traced the vehicle and took action. He said that the road
passes through BRT and  travellers are not allowed to stop vehicles and get down. He also said that the BRT Forest Staff patrol the road round the clock.
