Two teenage sisters meet watery grave in Chamarajanagara

Chamarajanagara: Two sisters aged 13 and 11 years, respectively met their tragic end after falling into a farm pond at Kebbepura Village in the Taluk on Tuesday May 3.

The deceased have been identified as Pooja (13) and Punya (11), the daughters of Rechappa and Veda couple. While Pooja was studying in Class VIII at Hundipura, Punya was in studying Class VI at Kebbepura. They were playing in the farm when they accidentally slipped into the pond and drowned, it is said.

Gundlupet Rural Police has registered a case and is investigating.
