Checking tightened at inter-state check posts in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts

Mysuru: The Mysuru and Chamarajanagar district administrations have tightened checking in inter district check posts. The Mysuru DC Bagadi Gowtham instructed tahsildar, Taluk panchayat executive officer and police inspectors to take charge of Bavali check post on shift basis.

The administration made it mandatory to the persons coming from Kerala that they should have vaccinated two doses or RTPCR negative report of within 72 hours. The administration deputed four police constables, four forest guards, health nurse, Asha worker and a teacher in a team to the check post in two shifts. The KSRTC stopped bus service to Manandavady, and only two buses are plying to Sulthan bathery. Earlier more than 25 buses were plying in this route to Kerala.

In Chamarajanagar, DC Dr M. R. Ravi convened a meeting on Saturday July 31 and instructed officers to tighten checking in Palar, Ardha Naripura , Punajanur, Kekkalahalla and Nala road check posts connecting Tamil Nadu and Moole hole check post connecting Kerala. He instructed compulsory RTPCR checking for 15 days for goods lorry drivers visiting Kerala.
