Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister for Public Works and Mysuru District In-charge Minister, Dr H C Mahadevappa has directed the Mysuru District Congress to hold a convention of Congress workers at Nanjanagud on Sunday.
The Mysuru District Congress Committee (MDCC) will hold a meeting ahead of the convention in Nanjanagud to discuss the possible ways to take on Prasad. Annoyed by Prasad’s charges against Siddaramaiah and Mahadevappa, the duo want to take on the Dalit leader in his constituency. The convention will also serve as a platform to promote Mahadevappa’s son Sunil Bose as the possible candidate for the by-election.
To choose the candidate for the by-election for Nanjangud constituency, the Congress high command has left the choice of the candidate to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. According to reliable sources, there is all possibility that Siddaramaiah may prefer Sunil Bose.
