Crores worth stolen goods find their way back home!

Mysuru: In a major operation, the Mysuru police handed over crores of rupees worth of stolen goods recovered during the last three months to their respective owners, on December 1.
The items recovered from Nanjanagud, Periyapatna and KR Nagar taluk limits include spiked and new currency notes, cars, scooters, idols, gold chains, laptop, LED televisions, expensive mobile phones, Canter vehicle and cylinders.

After inspecting the items, S P Ravi D Chennannavar lauded his team’s effort. In crimes related to sand mining alone, 448 cases were registered and 557 people arrested, he informed. The district police had seized 488 vehicles in total along with sand stocks valued at over Rs 2 Crore, he added.
