Family refuses to pay for the treatment of the dead, confronts Kaveri Hospital

Mysuru: Refusing to take away the corpse, family members of a deceased person protested against a hospital for allegedly fleecing them with extra bills two days after the patient died in Mysuru.

mysore3They alleged that resident of Yerganahalli, Siddaraju who met with an accident on November 10 had expired on November 12 at Kaveri Hospital. There were confirmed reports by few doctors there on his death according to his relatives.

But they were annoyed at the hospital authorities who claimed that the patient died on November 15. They refused to take the corpse and protested seeking refund in front of the Kaveri hospital in Mysuru.

Siddaraju, aged 29, met with an accident near Vidya Vikas College while returning home from a wedding and was seriously injured.

Police were seen trying to control the huge mob that had assembled in front of the hospital.
