Mysuru: A couple who were frustrated over being blackmailed by a close friend have approached the city police commissioner.
Accused Naeem, a resident of Udayagiri in Mysuru became friends with Riyaz and his wife a year ago. He then managed to get obscene photos of her and blackmailed her to have sex with her and also demanded money.
He is said to have secretly clicked her photos while taking a bath and also when she was changing clothes. From then on, he began blackmailing her. He used to show those obscene photos to her and force her to have a physical relationship and also demanded money from her.
Frustrated over his harrassment, she informed Riyaz about it. It is learnt that Naeem also blackmailed Riyaz that if he informed the police, he would upload those photos in Internet. The accused also refused to return Rs 3 lakh which he had borrowed from Riyaz.
The couple finally approached the city police commissioner and complained about the harrassment. They also threatened to consume poison if justice is denied.
