Mysuru: An uninvited guest intruded into the girls hostel in Manasa Gangothri campus sending panic among the inmates on September 5.
Girls sleeping on their respective cots heard the hissing sound of a cobra and jumped out to run for safety.
A mid-size elapid had slowly crept into their dwelling through the weeds in the vicinity.
Panic-stricken girls started screaming and sought the help of snake catcher Ramesh.
Umesh managed to rescue the girls as well as the poisonous cobra.
Fortunately, none was hurt but exclaimed, “Gosh that gave us a scare!”
