Govt stops appointment of Principals to four constituent colleges of Mysuru varsity

Mysuru: Another set back to university of Mysore! Government has directed it to stop appointment of principals to its four constituent colleges.

Registrar of Evaluation takes additional charge at Mysore University-1N Veerabrahmachari, undersecretary, has written letter to Rajanna, registrar (administration), UOM directing him to stop the appointment. The government in its letter clearly mentioned that vice chancellors are restricted from making appointments during last six months of their tenure.

Rangappa will be retire during the second week of January on superannuation. Apart from this UOM hasn’t taken prior permission from the government regarding the appointment of principals. The interview for these principal posts was scheduled on November 23.
