Mysuru: Former Chief Minister and JD (S) leader H. D. Kumaraswamy took strong exception to the statement made by BJP State In-Charge Arun Singh on Wednesday September 1. Reacting to the statement made by Singh that JD (S) party is sinking ship, Kumaraswamy took a jibe that Arun Singh came to State to collect the funds as their party is in power in the State now.

He further said that Singh has no knowledge about State and politics here. He said we did not go to the doorstep of the BJP. But BJP leaders themselves came to JD (S) legislator Sa Ra Mahesh’s house seeking support in the mayor election of Mysuru City Corporation. The State leaders should tell Singh not to speak lightly about JD (S).

He said BJP leaders have no spine to get the approval from Union Government for Mekedatu and other projects. Commenting on the change of Chiefministership, he said that the BJP leaders changed the engine of the train as it malfunctioned. But the compartments are dilapidated, what can people expected from this Government, he questioned. He said State MPs should convince the Union Government to approve various projects which have been pending for years.
He said the JD (S) candidates first list will be announced on September 28 next. Mission 123 is his only aim, the party already has finalised more than 100 candidates.  A workshop will be organised at Bidadi to train the candidates, he added.

He ridiculed the party legislator G. T. Devegowda that he left the party in 2008 and joined BJP, was I responsible for that? He said that BJP organised Jan Ashirwad Yatra and therefore should not restrict the Ganesha Chaturthi festival.
