Mysuru: Former Chief Minister and JD (S) Leader H. D. Kumaraswamy on Sunday December 5 exuded confidence of the party putting up a good show in the only six constituencies it has fielded candidates for the elections to Legislative Council from various local bodies seat on Friday December 10.

Kumaraswamy said “we have taken this election as a matter of prestige in view  of the 2023 general elections. What we focussed during the workshop for party workers held at Bidadi is being implemented first in Mysuru.”

“We have not pitched for achieving any coordination with either BJP or Congress. Barring BJP Leader B. S. Yediyurappa none of the other leaders approached for our support in MLC elections,” said Kumaraswamy.

Chamundeshwari MLA G. T. Devegowda has his own political stand and we are also also ambitious about our political future. We don’t want to criticise his moves. Even if he woos our leaders or plays any other tactics, we will still remain undisturbed. We also have a good relationship with Congress and BJP,  said Kumaraswamy.

HDK also reacted to Yathindra Siddaramaiah comments on GTD for Chamundeshwari.

“Our party leaders are more inclined towards introducing new candidates for both Chamundeshwari and Varuna constituencies. We would start ground work from today. This way we are also fully prepared to groom new leadership,” added Kumaraswamy.
