Horse-mounted Police unit rehearses for RD Celebrations in Mysuru

Mysuru: The Mysuru Horse-mounted Police Unit held a rehearsal for the 73rd Republic Day celebrations here on Monday January 24. Amidst the Covid – 19 pandemic, the celebration will be held throughout the country under strict vigil, and Covid guidelines on Wednesday January 26.

In Mysuru, the celebration will be held at the sprawling Bannimantapa Grounds, with only police personnel as the attendees. This year, the
volunteers, school children and the public are prohibited from participating in the programme. No cultural events will be performed
as instructed by the Mysuru City Corporation.

Mysuru-Chamarajanagar District In-Charge Minister S. T. Somashekar will hoist the national flag. He will be extended a guard of honour
by the Horse-Mounted Police Unit on the occasion.
