Hublot watch case: Fresh complaint carries no truth, says HC Mahadevappa

Mysuru: The Hublot watch controversy raised again by lodging a fresh complaint in Lokayukta court carries no truth, opined Public Works Department and District in-charge minister HC Mahadevappa.

He was responding on the issue of a private complaint lodged by social activist P J Abraham in the Lokayukta special court alleging that Anti-corruption Bureau has not filed an FIR in the Hublot watch case against him nor CM Siddaramaiah. The entire procedure was transparent and the complaint does not have any truth. We will fight the case legally, the minister confirmed.

It may be recalled that the Lokayukta special court deferred hearing on the fresh complaint lodged by social activist P J Abraham on Hublot watch case to November 5.

Minister briefs on Dasara events

Mahadevappa said, the program will begin at 2.15 on October 11 with the chief minister offering prayers to Nandi Dwaj and at around 2.45 pm the main procession will begin. As many as 42 tableaus will be taking part in the procession, with 30 from different districts of the state, he stated.

Different state government departments will showcase their prowess in 8 tableaus. The tableau will display the rich culture and tradition of the land highlighting folk culture, literature, royal traditions as well as regional culture, he informed.

Vehicles from other states exempted from paying highway toll till month end

The minister offered an olive branch to tourists from neighbouring states by exempting their vehicles entering the state from paying highway toll till month end. At the same time he said, the honorarium for Mahouts has been increased to Rs 7500 this year.
