Mysuru: Science communication plays an integral role in one’s scientific career. Being able to effectively disseminate research findings within the community and consider collective opinions in prioritising research needs is an important attribute of scientific maturity. In this regard, School of Life Sciences, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSSAHER), Mysuru in association with DBT/WelIcome Trust India Alliance is organising three-day National Workshop on Science Communication from June 14 to June 16.
The workshop is aimed at equipping participants with the essential know-how of research and communication ethics, scientifically writing for grant proposals, popularising Science to a non-specialist audience, and building the foundation for a career in research in life sciences and health sciences. To keep the modules interactive, focused, and productive, the number of participants for workshop is limited to 60.
Research Scholars, Junior Scientists, Researchers, Assistant and Associate Professors of Life Sciences and Health Sciences are eligible to apply. The candidates would be selected based on the merit of the application and relevance to their career needs. The decision of the selection committee is final.
