1334 Kodagu voters to exercise franchise in MLC polls

Kodagu: In all, 1334 voters from the local bodies of Kodagu will exercise their votes in the upcoming Legislative Council polls.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. B. C. Sateesha said that as many as 108 polling booths have been set up across the district. According to census, there are 16,674 people in the age group between 18 and 19 of which sadly only 5,841 people have enrolled themselves in the voters’ list so far, he informed.

The nominations can be submitted to the Returning Officer or the Assistant Returning Officer at the DC’s office in the District Administration complexity till November 23 between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm, except on November 21 and 22 which are holidays, he added.
