Kodagu: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal and Durga Vahini workers on Tuesday November 29 allegedly sent back a few Muslim traders who opened makeshift shops in Harihara-Subrahmanya Temple premises in Ponnampete. It is said that five days back the VHP and Bajrang dal Leaders warned and allegedly put up a board on Temple premises that no other community traders will be allowed to do business on Tuesday November 29 during the Subrahmanya Shashti festival. But it has come to light that a few other community youth were doing business using the Aadhaar Cards of Hindus.
The leaders of the Hindu organisation had earlier warned that if they come to do business, they will have to face the consequences in a different way. The leaders checked the ID cards of traders and found that a few youth selling items by possessing the ID Cards of Hindu people.
As soon as it came to light that the youth were doing business using Hindu ID cards, the Hindu workers and Durga Vahini District Coordinator Ambika allegedly went to the spot and took the youth to the task. Later, they were sent back.
