Kodagu: The Kodagu police busted a criminal network that was selling hashish oil and arrested three people involved in the crime.
The accused have been identified as Ahmed Kabir (37) of Kasaragod, Abdul Khader (27), and Mohammad Mujamil (27) of Kanhangad. Over 1.160 kg of hashish oil worth Rs. 10 lakh was seized from them, informed police.
According to District Superintendent of Police M. A. Ayyappa, the arrests were made on August 29 when the gang was travelling from Kerala through Karike in a Maruti Suzuki Celerio. The car was inspected since they were acting suspiciously, and that’s how the contraband was found, he added.
A case has been registered against the accused in line with the NDPS act at the Bhagamandala Police Station.
