Kodagu: Three persons died in a waterfall while swimming on Sunday May 29. The deceased have been identified as Shahindra (36) Sri Harsha (18) and Shyam (16) all natives of Telangana.
It is said that a team of 18 tourists from Telangana came to the District on tour, and were staying in Kushalanagara. On Sunday morning they went to Kote Abby falls near Madikeri wherein first the teenager drowned in water while swimming, following which the other two tried to rescue him but in vain and drowned too. The fire and police officials are trying to fish out the bodies.
Somwarpet Police has registered a case and is investigating.
