Kodagu: Senior Congress Leader Siddaramaiah is indulging in politics of convenience. For the sake of power, he doesn’t mindchanging his name to Sidda’rahim’aiah, said  Kodagu Mysuru BJP MP Pratap Simha.

Speaking to mediapersons in Madikeri here on Saturday February 5 he said that Siddaramaiah is dividing society for minority votes. He said “No one needs to take Siddaramaiah’s words seriously as he keeps talking for the sake of politics. For the sake of power, he will stoop down to any level and his words need not be taken seriously.”

Referring to the hijab row, Simha said, “The uniform that was in vogue in 2017 – 18 is there now also. There is a strong reason behind having a uniform in school. Students will learn oneness when there is uniformity. The BJP legislators and ministers are following the rules strictly.”

The BJP leader said, “What is surprising is some students are adamant. There is a system in place which should be followed by all. If some students feel they can flout the rules, they are welcome to go elsewhere.”
