Kodagu: According to Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy Member P. M. Ravi, the District Administration has disrespected the achievements by discontinuing the District-level Rajyotsava awards.
He informed that except for Kodagu, every district in the State has given the District Rajyotsava awards to the achievers. “However, in Kodagu, this tradition was stopped nine years ago. In the district, there are many achievers in the fields of art, literature, sports, theatre music, education, agriculture, and journalism.”
In fact, only a few deserving people are selected each year to receive the Karnataka Rajyotsava award from Kodagu, Ravi added.
