Mysuru: Nanjanagudu Rural Police booked case against eight persons in connection with death of an accused while in custody. It is said that Siddaraju (33), a mason was picked up by police on the night of Saturday November 27 followed by complaint of a woman of the Byalaru Village in Nanjanagudu Taluk in the District that the accused was creating nuisance in front of her house.

On Sunday November 28, the accused who was a drunkard complained of giddiness, and the police took him to taluk hospital but doctors declared him brought dead. Police said he died owing to previous illness.

However, on Monday November 29, Mahadevamma, the mother of Siddaraju filed a complaint with the police alleging that her son had relationship with a woman of same village since last 5 years. The complaint stated that woman, her mother, brother and father and four relatives assaulted him on Saturday which caused the death.

Soon the police arrested three persons on Tuesday November 30 in this connection. According to the FIIR filed against eight accused police did not mention the custody of the deceased. They stated that deceased died in the hospital unable to respond to treatment. The autopsy was conducted at KR Hospital, Mysuru and cremation was done by relatives.

The FIR by police raised many doubts about death of the deceased. The police investigation is still on.
