Somwarpet: The duo accused in the murder of a lone woman in Iggodlu village limits was apprehended by police after prolonged search operations.
Kariappa and Bheemaiah, both residents of Surlabbi fell into the police dragnet.
Seethamma (65) was allegedly killed by the duo, who later escaped with cash and valuables.
A search team led by then DySP Sampath Kumar to nab the accused was formed, who investigated the crime scene accompanied by forensic experts and dog squad.
Despite credible information, their arrest was delayed as they were hiding in the dense forest nearby.
Police produced them in the court at Somwarpet and suspect their involvement in other burglary cases.
The court remanded them to 5 –day police custody.
