Madikeri: BJP on December 12 held a protest rally from Bhagamandala to Madikeri against the state government for its failure to repair the road between Karike, Bhagamandala and Madikeri.
The protest rally was inaugurated in front of Shri Bhagandeshwara temple premises in Bhagamandala on Tuesday.
The rally led by District MLAs K G Bopaiah, Appacchu Ranjan and MLC Sunil Subramani passed through Chettimani and Cherambane where the protesters met the locals and informed them about the failure of the state government.
The police stopped the protesters when they attempted to gherao DC’s office in Madikeri.
The protesters alleged that the government offices had become a den for corruption. The government has completely failed to repair roads and put an end to deadly potholes, they charged.
