Madikeri: The owner of a car wash and service center shot the customer who insisted on cleaning his car on priority for Ayudha pooja in Shanivarasnathe on Monday, October 10.
Shekhar aged 45, resident of the Gundu Rao layout is the deceased. Shekhar left his car for washing in the early hours of the morning on October 10. He instructed the owner of the service center to get it washed on priority and left the service centre.
On his return the car was not washed which led to a heated argument between the owner of the service station, Abdul Rabzu and customer Shekhar.
After few minutes, Rabzu brought a gun from his house nearby and shot Shekhar. Seriously injured Shekhar was rushed to the hospital but failed to recover and succumbed to his injuries.
Angered by the incident Shekhar’s friends and relatives entered the station caused extensive damages to the service station and set few vehicles on fire.
Somwarpet Police rushed to the spot and arrested the prime accused Abdul Rubzu. Further investigations are in progress.
