Virajpet: The rift between Dakshina Kannada District-in-Charge Minister Ramanath Rai and RSS leader Dr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat is far from over with Rai challenging the RSS strongman to contest against him in the Assembly elections if he has the guts to do so.
Rai also took a jibe at Bhat saying that he may forfeit his deposit if he contests the election.
Meanwhile, Rai was furious when media persons quizzed him about the letter he had written to the state government, asking to stop the financial assistance being given to the schools run by Kalladka Bhat from Kollur temple. The letter was released by BJP leader Harikrishna Bantwal two days ago. It can be recalled that the minister always claimed to have no connection with this issue.
“Prabhakara Bhat is fighting against me continuously, but people are with me. The asset of the temple should be utilized for the temple. Prabhakara Bhat is making these allegations to get money from the temple. Let him fight against me in the election, he will not get even the deposit,” said the minister.
