Mysuru: Ruling out the possibility of handing over Magali Ravi case to Central Bureau of Investigation CBI), Chief Minister Siddramaiah said, the case will be dealt by the State police as there are five pending cases with the CBI with no tangible results till date.Speaking at Mysuru airport en route to Chamundeshwari constituency to inaugurate development works, the chief minister said that the BJP is trying to disturb peace during the Tipu birth anniversary celebrations which will be similar to Maratha leader Shivaji’s celebrations. BJP is trying to vitiate the atmosphere by twisting history and Congress has nothing new to learn from communal BJP, CM ridiculed.
The government is planning to enact law to curb expensive weddings and till then one cannot refuse invites, Siddaramiah said, referring to Janardhan Reddy’s daughter’s multi-crore wedding.
He downplayed the proposed massive convention at Nanjanagud by former state revenue minister and Dalit leader V. Srinivas Prasad on the occasion.
Referring to BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje accusation against his Cabinet minister Roshan Baig, “If one says Shobha is involved in Rudesh’s murder, will you believe?” Siddaramaiah retorted.
