Mandya: The Jain organisations filed two separate complaints against a media channel and politician for making derogatory remarks against Gomateshwara during debate on Hijab row.
The Ananthanatha Swami Digambara Jaina Samaja in Mandya has filed a complaint at Central Police Station against New Congress Party National President Ayub Khan on Thursday February 10 alleging that he made derogatory remarks against Gomateshwara during a TV debate.
They said that during debate Khan said that even Gomateshwara is naked and suggested to get him wear shorts. The complaint has said that it has hurt religious sentiments of the community and urged stringent action against him.
The Jain Milan in Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district too filed a complaint against Ayub Khan in Puttur Town Police Station for hurting religious sentiments. The community has urged to book Ayub under IPC 153 (A), (B), 295(A), 298, 506 and 76 IT act for making derogatory
comments on social media.
