Maddur: As many as four individuals have been reportedly detained in connection to the murder of JDS leader Prakash.

The four are being questioned at Belakavadi station in Malavalli taluk.

Hemanth, Swamy, Yogish and Shivaraj have been detained on Wednesday morning, said sources.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has visited Prakash’s native village Toppanahalli and paid last respect to the mortal remains on Tuesday. The CM too was seen fighting back tears looking at the dead body of one of his party loyalists.

Meanwhile, news has been making rounds that JDS coalition partner Congress is behind the murder and following this, angry supporters of Prakash even resorted to vandalising residences of a couple of local Congress members.

However, the CM has promised the kin of the deceased that the culprits will be punished.
