Mandya: Former Chief Minister and JD (S) leader H. D. Kumaraswamy stating that he is unaware if Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa will step down as CM for future in unpredictable, added that however it has come to his knowledge that CM has approved Rs 12,000 crore worth projects under Irrigation Department.
Speaking to media persons at Malavalli here on Thursday July 22, Kumaraswamy lamented that however, Cauvery Corporation has received only Rs 1000 crore for its projects. He said that the State received highest share of its traces from old Karnataka region, and the very same region is being neglected by the current State government.
Questioning the CM as to why this injustice is meted out to the people of the old Karnataka region, Kumaraswamy alleged that CM is out to make money in the name of irrigation projects. It is highly deplorable that the other parts of the State has been sanctioned Rs 11,000 crore worth irrigation projects. Is looting government money a plan behind this sudden sanction, he questioned BSY.
