Mandya: In a bizzare incident a depressed man drowned his luxury BMW car in Cauvery river near Nimishamba Temple in Srirangapattana was removed by police on Friday May 27.
It is said that Rupesh, a native of Mahalakshmi Layout in Bengaluru had visited the temple three days back. However, he pushed the car into the river. The villagers noticed the car on Thursday May 26 and informed the police. Then the owner was summoned to spot, and the car was removed.
Police told that upon enquiry he was found mentally ill and sent back home.
