Mandya: The district is experiencing continuous rain, which has caused the Kaveri River’s water flow to increase significantly and raise concerns about flooding.

The water level at the KRS reservoir has now reached the danger level. The gates have been opened, and the reservoir’s water is being released.

According to sources, the bathing Ghat close to Nichimbha Temple has been completely flooded, and entry has been barred for devotees.

The Kaveri river has reached close to the danger mark as a result of the low-lying areas being flooded.
