Mandya: A leopard has been spotted again near the world famous Krishnarajasagara Reservoir in Srirangapattana and tourists have been banned from entering Brindavan.
Evening of Friday October 28, a leopard was caught on CCTV camera going near the fountain from North Brindavan side. The staff immediately alerted the tourists who were in Brindavan and sent them back and stopped them so that there was no danger.
On Ocober 22, a leopard was spotted on the KRS dam, causing panic. Brindavan was also closed that day. Also, the footage of the leopard roaming on the dam was captured on CCTV camera.
The Forest Department has placed a cage behind the Royal Orchid Hotel to capture the leopard. However, the leopard, which did not fall into the cage, was caught on CCTV camera on Friday roaming near North Brindavan, triggering panic.
