Mandya: As many as 15 labourers fell ill after drinking pesticide-mixed water in Hosakoppalu village in Maddur Taluk of the District.
According to the authorities, all these labourers are staying in Balle camp in the village. They are from Ballari and they were here to harvest sugar cane.
According to the reports, the incident happened on the night of Monday November 28. A local farmer had mixed pesticides in water and stored it in a drum to spray in the fields. Unaware of this, these labourers drank it.
The farmers who noticed the incident rushed all the labourers to Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences where all are recovering.
