Mandya: A tipper driver was burnt alive when a truck in which he was driving rammed to pillar of a flyover in Maddur on Bengaluru – Mysuru National Highway in the wee hours of Thursday March 17.
It is said that the truck was transporting jelly stone from Bidadi to Mysuru. The driver lost control, and rammed the truck onto flyover pillar.
As the truck was mangled, the driver Dinesh, a native of Hassan could not come out of the truck. As fire broke out due to the impact of the mishap, he died before fire personnel came to spot.
Bengaluru – Mysuru traffic was disrupted for more than half an hour. Maddur Police has registered a case and are investigating.
