Mysuru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC A. H. Vishwanath has lashed out at Congress leaders for spreading lies in the Bitcoin scam.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday November 18 he said “Congress Leader Siddaramaiah has worked as the Finance Minister in the past and if he knows anything about Bitcoin, he should talk. Janata Dal (Secular) Leader H. D. Kumaraswamy is also saying that he will give proof after 15 days. These people are dragging Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s name unnecessarily. If they have any proof, they can reveal it, but there is no point in creating confusion in the minds of the people.”
Vishwanath said, “No one knows anything about Bitcoin. If they can give me two witnesses, I will force the State Government to order a probe. The only Bitcoin issue was in 2016 when Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister, he added.
Reacting to controversy surrounding Music Composer Hamsalekha’s comment on late Pejavaea Seer Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji, the BJP leader said, “I am not able to understand his statement. No one has the right to question others’ food habits and their religion. These days we have a lot of fake thinkers who talk about anything they think of.”
Vishwanath also alleged that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K..Shivakumar has gone on record that the Legislative Council tickets will be given to only those who have enough bank balance. “Where is the social justice?” he asked. On the possibility of JD (S) MLC Sandesh Nagaraj contesting again on a BJP ticket, the veteran leader said, “He has not yet joined us and how can people talk of giving him a BJP ticket?”
