H D Kote: A new born child was found in the precincts of the H D Kote Government Hospital on December 18 . Unfortunately, the mother of the new born child appears to have left the hospital after clothing her new born child.
The hospital staff in charge of cleaning the wash rooms and few others noticed the baby lying on the floor early in the morning and immediately informed the duty doctors. Doctors rushed the baby to Bapuji Child Care Centre in Mysuru for postnatal care.
Blood stains along with delivery discharge remains were found at the spot, where the staff noticed the baby first.
The police and Child Care Centre Counsellor Jasheela registered a complaint into the incident. The mother of the child appears to have discarded the newborn, said Dr. Bhaskar at the hospital,reacting on the incident.
Police are investigating the staff and those admitted in the prenatal wards of the hospital to extract more information on the incident.
