Mysuru: Members of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday December 14 staged a protest demanding that the educational problems of the students should be addressed.
They urged that the bus system is not sufficient for students coming from rural areas. The number of buses travelling to rural areas after Covid has been reduced, they said and complained that the students were unable to attend classes on time.
Scheduled Caste, Tribe, Backward Classes and Minority students are pursuing Diploma, Engineering, Degree, Master’s Degree, and PhD, they saud and added that the government has not released scholarships to poor students of Scheduled Caste, Tribe, Backward Classes and Minority community pursuing Diploma, Engineering, Degree, Master’s Degree, and PhD.
The process of selecting students’ hostels has become a commotion for students, they said. Further, students urged the government to ensure that the selection of hostels should be completed.
