Mysuru: ‘Amrutha Bharathige Kannada Aarati’ programme was held at the Ramaswamy Circle under the aegis of District Administration, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and Department of Kannada and Culture in the wake of the 75th Year of Independence of India and ‘Azadi Ka Amrita Mahotsav’ celebrations on Saturday June 25.
Minister of Kannada and Culture V. Sunil Kumar on Friday June 24 announced that the second phase of the Amrutha Bharathige Kannada Aarati programme will commence on Saturday June 25.
MLA S. A. Ramadas unveiled the name plaque of Ramaswamy at the
circle. More than 2000 people including school and college students took part in the programme. The Women and Children Welfare Department members attended the programme as well.
The main attraction of the programme was the installation of 250 feet national flag installed. A procession began from the circle and concluded at the Freedom Fighter’s Park. MCC Mayor Sunanda Palanetra, MCC member Pramila Bharath, Mysuru District Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopala
