Mysuru: V Priyanka, WR Harshitha and SG Priyanka all from Teresian College created new meet record in 800mtr, Hammer Throw and 100mtr hurdles event respectively in the 88th University of Mysuru inter college annual athletic meet organized by Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore and Government College (Autonomous) Mandya at MV Ground in Mandya on Saturday.
SG Priyanka of Teresian College, Mysuru created a new meet record with a timing of 15.11sec by breaking 35 year old record of Reeth Devaiah(Mahrani Art’s College in 1981-82 batch) with a timing of 15.30sec.
V Priyanka of Teresian College, Mysuru, created a new meet record with a timing of 2:13.68sec. She broke the previous record of Meghana K.R from Maharani college, with a timing of 2:18.78 Sec., created in the year 2013-14. Harshitha W R, Teresian College, Mysuru, created a new meet record by throwing a distance of 42.30mts. She broke the record of Puspha S Gadadi with 40.21mts of Teresian College, Mysuru, created during the year 2013-14.
Earlier the event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner S. Jeeyaulla. MLC K.T Srikante Gowda was also present. More than 800 participants took part in the competition.
